Identity for Mmuseumm, a museum dedicated to object journalism. Established in 2012, Mmuseumm combines curiosity with accessibility by providing a free 24/7 viewing window for visitors. Taking inspiration from the window, along with their humorous and often self-aware tone, a generative logo and system was created using HTML, CSS, and Javascript. Rework of the Family Shelter Guide, originally written in 1959 by the U.S. Office of Civil and Defense Mobilization. Created during the height of the Cold War, the guide contained floor plans for 5 D.I.Y fallout shelters, along with resources to aid with survival. Playing off the absurdity of building a nuclear shelter in today’s age, the original document was remade by using HTML and CSS to create an online version. Once the webpage was coded, it was then exported as a PDF without regard to formatting—letting technology drive the overall form and design.
